Job Description Job Description About the Role: The Aesthetic
Nurse Practitioner (NP) plays a critical role in delivering
advanced, patient-centered aesthetic care within a clinical or spa
setting. This position involves performing comprehensive patient
assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and
administering a variety of cosmetic procedures such as injectables,
laser treatments, and skin rejuvenation therapies. The NP
collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal
patient outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of safety
and ethical practice. Additionally, the role requires staying
current with emerging aesthetic techniques and technologies to
provide innovative and effective treatments. Ultimately, the
Aesthetic NP enhances patient confidence and satisfaction by
combining clinical expertise with a compassionate approach to
aesthetic medicine. Minimum Qualifications: Current and
unrestricted NP license in Virginia. Certification as a NP from an
accredited program. Experience or training in aesthetic procedures,
including injectables and laser treatments. Strong clinical
assessment and patient management skills. Requirement
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
Master’s Degree from an accredited NP Program NP Certification
Current NP license for Virginia Board certification in a relevant
specialty such as dermatology or cosmetic/aesthetic nursing.
Advanced certifications in aesthetic procedures (e.g., Botox,
dermal fillers, laser therapy). Experience working in a high-volume
aesthetic or dermatology practice. Familiarity with electronic
medical records (EMR) systems specific to aesthetic medicine.
Excellent communication and patient education skills.
Responsibilities: Conduct thorough patient consultations and
assessments to determine suitability for aesthetic procedures.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient
goals and clinical indications. Administer aesthetic treatments
including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and
laser therapies. Monitor patient progress and manage any adverse
reactions or complications promptly and effectively. Educate
patients on pre- and post-procedure care to optimize treatment
outcomes and ensure safety. Maintain accurate and detailed medical
records in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with
physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to
coordinate comprehensive patient care. Stay informed about the
latest advancements in aesthetic medicine through continuous
education and professional development. Skills: The Aesthetic Nurse
Practitioner utilizes clinical assessment skills daily to evaluate
patient needs and determine appropriate aesthetic treatments.
Proficiency in performing various cosmetic procedures ensures safe
and effective delivery of care, while strong interpersonal skills
facilitate clear communication and patient education. Critical
thinking and problem-solving abilities are essential for managing
treatment plans and addressing any complications that arise.
Familiarity with the latest aesthetic technologies and techniques
allows the NP to offer innovative solutions tailored to individual
patient goals. Additionally, organizational skills support
meticulous documentation and compliance with healthcare
regulations, contributing to overall practice efficiency and
patient satisfaction. P osition Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Clinical hours are Monday through
Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications None required for this
position. Work Authorization/Security Clearance Must be authorized
to work in the United States of America. Must acknowledge and agree
to the Practice’s policies including the drug and alcohol policies.
