Job Description:

The Crew Chief is in a management-level position supervising installations and training company installers.
Essential Functions

• Supervise and train Installer-I and Installer-II employees using a hands-on approach.
• Make travel arrangements and handle logistics for the crews.
• Cover hotel and transportation expenses for Installer-I and Installer-II positions as needed.
• Monitor and approve crew hours and per diem.
• Purchase and maintain proper installation tools using a company-supplied credit card.
• Work with Engineering, Sr Crew Chief, and other area experts to become proficient in current installation methods.
• Report shortages and warranty using the current process.
• Work with customers on schedule and mitigate any installation issues while on-site.
• Monitor and communicate with the Project Coordinator/Project Manager on schedule.
• Produce service reports and sign-off documentation for projects as needed.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
• Other Duties as Assigned
  Supervisory Responsibilities:The position will have direct reports. As a Crew Chief, you will be responsible for supervising and guiding a team of 4-10 in their daily tasks and professional development.
  Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and listen. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. This is a hands-on job where the CC will be working with employees to demonstrate proper procedures in many cases.
    Work Environment:
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in various locations.
      Travel required:
      • 75% Travel required; Saturday work is a frequent practice. Will sometimes need to work on holidays.
        Required Education and Experience:
        • High School Diploma
        • Must be at least 18 years of age.
        • At least 3 years of installation or maintenance experience.
