Position Details:
Title: CNC Operator Lathe/Mill
Location: Lynchburg, VA
Shift: 1st & 2nd Shift - M-F. Voluntary Weekends
Compensation: $20-$30/hr

Position Description:
The CNC Machinist will operate and program CNC lathes and mills to produce high-quality precision parts. The role involves reading blueprints, setting up machinery, and ensuring that all parts meet the required specifications. This position is crucial for maintaining efficient and accurate machining processes during the shift. The CNC operator will power, set up, program, operate and troubleshoot the CNC machine, while accurately reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings in order to guide machining operations. They will utilize measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, and other precision tools to meet tolerance requirements. They will also be required to clean and perform light maintenance on the machinery.

Requirements:
A candidate for this role should have experience with CNC equipment and/or machine shop experience that would facilitate a candidate to be trained on the role. Candidates should have impeccable attention to detail, mathematical fraction/ decimal skills and ability to use precision measurement tools. Candidates need to have a high school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications or training in machining is a plus.
