**Job Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Maintains a strong working knowledge of DOE Orders and the DOE
approved Security Plan. Provides systematic and disciplined
administration of the DOE Security Plan and related procedures to
ensure strict compliance with all applicable DOE Orders.
+ Manages the Personnel Access Authorization Program to include
clearance processing, site access restriction, and administrative
access denial for TSG employees, vendors, and possessing and
non-possessing contractors.
+ Supports associated Security Programs for TSG.
+ Develops and maintains a subject matter expert level of
knowledge, provide interpretations and recommendations for the
implementation of applicable Orders, Manuals, and associated
directives and provide technical assistance to TSG Management.
+ Interprets security directives and resolves unique and complex
security problems.
+ Tracks security clearance investigations and performs
administrative support functions, including Joint Personnel
Adjudication System (JPAS) and Electronic Questionnaires for
Investigations Processing (e-QIP) administration.
+ Initiates background investigations for new hires in accordance
with position designation requirements established regulations and
agency directives. Ensures all required information is provided and
request missing information in established timelines.
+ Reviews and adjudicates preemployment checks and background
investigations to determine suitability/fitness eligibility and
logical/physical access authorizations.
+ Conducts personnel security interviews of applicants to resolve
questions concerning derogatory information disclosed or developed
as part of the preemployment check and suitability background
investigation.
+ Conducts technical and quality control reviews for background
investigations submitted, rejected, or discontinued or
performed.
+ Supports processing activities and processes as assigned to
include, but not limited reciprocity requests, initial and
re-investigative requests, developing and maintaining related
reports pertaining to background investigation submissions,
rejections, and adjudications.
+ Responsible for the technical soundness of work to include
authority to define work quality standards and issue internal
instructions for work accomplishment.
+ Assists in preparation for facility reviews and inspections.
**Education & Experience Qualifications:**
+ Requires a Bachelors degree in an applicable field, combined with
a minimum of 6 years of related experience.
+ Requires United States Citizenship with no dual citizenship and
an active 'Q' DOE Clearance.
+ Experience working in a classified environment including physical
security, personnel security and classified document control.
+ Must be able to interpret and implement security policy, provide
guidance, oversight and assistance to company personnel.

+ Must have excellent written and oral communications skills.
+ Must have strong interpersonal skills, working independently and
in a team setting.
