BWXT Advanced Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Nuclear
Fuel Performance Engineer to advance the state of the art in
TRISO-based fuel systems for use in advanced reactor applications,
- A Master's Degree in Nuclear Engineering from an
ABET-accredited university is required.
- Must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the
nuclear field with a focus on fuel development and
- Must possess an understanding of the interplay between reactor
design, fuel development, and fuel testing / qualification.
- Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy
(DOE) or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance, whichever
Additional Desired Skillsets:
- Experience with fuel performance codes (e.g. BISON).
- Experience with fuel testing and/or qualification.
- Education or experience in materials science.
