Student receptionist is responsible for helping with administrative coverage of the reception area: greeting guests and helping with scheduling of facilities.

Duties will include receiving all visitors to the School and directing them to the needed services by fielding questions and providing directions to the many and various locations within the School and elsewhere in DeMoss Hall. Specific duties will include directing students scheduled for CASAS and faculty advising within the department, assisting in the coordination of room schedules and events, and providing back-up coverage to relieve the Secretary for meetings and other administrative tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

The student must be a residential Liberty University Engineering student. Hours will vary; candidates must have the ability to work 18 hours per week. Candidates must possess excellent customer service skills. Must have and maintain a minimum of 2.5 over all GPA.

Preferred Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service skills, demonstrate computer proficiency, and possess the abilities to both follow instructions and lead others, a Christ-like attitude, and the ability to function responsibly with minimum direct supervision.

Work Hours

The School of Engineering area is utilized until 11 p.m. seven days a week. Therefore, this person will be utilized during and beyond regular business hours and should expect to work some during the extended hours the School is open.
