Sowherever youre fromcome join our crew!The purpose of a Loss Prevention Supervisor is to safeguard associates, equipment, and assets of the organization. Incumbent must be able to independently assess the environment, recommend and/or execute appropriate actions in a timely manner to mitigate risks and ensure the safety and well-being of people and property.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Identify, hire, and train all Loss Prevention Representatives for the facility Supervise Loss Prevention Team (Contractual and Proprietary)Develop schedules for LP Team and maintain appropriate facility coveragePrevent, detect, and deter losses and safety concernsEnforce safety and loss prevention policies and proceduresDevelop and distribute monthly reports on accidentsOversees the alarm / fire inspections, safety walk-thru, and risk assessments Conducts and assigns representative to participate in all new hire orientationsMaintains perimeter access systemsMaintain job function SOPs, review, and update as needed.Networks with local industry on loss prevention issuesInstalls internal cameras utilized in conducting investigationsConducts interviews and interrogationsResponds to alarmsConducts BAT (breath alcohol testing) and Oral Swap testing as part of Substance Abuse ProgramCoordinate the daily processing of department under his/her direct report, ensuring the department is meeting deadlines and following up as appropriate.Monitor budget and payroll information of department.Handle associate relations such as, but not limited to coaching, counseling, and training direct reports by partnering with department manager and/or human resources.Identify, coach, train and promote associates with team leader and/or supervisor potential.Evaluate and discuss each direct report job performance using objectives set and quarterly conversations with direst reports.Provide timely and accurate feedback to direct reports.Maintain associate records and any other payroll related processes (time statements, PAs, PTO, SAP, attendance tracking, etc.).Keep open lines of communication to associates.Responsible for follow through on each issue until brought to resolutionDetermines need for additional equipment and reports to LP ManagerCommunication with management on issues that need immediate resolutionMaintain a professional demeanor when communicating with associates and visitorsApply basic skills and procedural knowledge within assigned work areaComplete other duties and responsibilities as assigned by LP Manager and/or DirectorEducation and Experience:4-year degree and/or 3-5 years job related experienceAbility to communicate effectively both verbal and writtenNo prior felony or serious misdemeanor convictionsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordProfessional appearanceFlexible and adaptableMust have a valid drivers licenseSkills and Ability:Good problem-solving skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityStrong communication skills - verbal and written; ability to effectively communicate with all levels of individuals (hourly associates to senior leadership)Excellent interpersonal skills; people-oriented individualAbility to work independently or in a team environment (team player)Quality conscious and detail orientedAbility to multi-taskNeat, orderly appearanceMust be very flexible/adaptable - will be required to assist other LP representatives in other areas and work overtime and extended hours, as neededUnderstand and follow verbal and written instructionsPhysical Requirements:This position is not primarily a desk position, but will require you to stand, walk and move as needed When assisting other LP representatives this position will also require you to lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, and stoop; ability to climb stairsAbility to type and read computer screen, CCTV, and other required LP equipmentWorking Conditions:Distribution Center / Warehouse with some office and outside environment We are committed to affirmatively providing equal opportunity to all associates and qualified applicants without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, marital status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, legally protected physical or mental disability or any other basis protected under applicable law.
