Position Description: CGI Federal is looking for a Sr. Network
Administrator to help support a program we are working on for the
Army's PL ALTESS contract. PL ALTESS, or Product Lead for
Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Enterprise Systems and
Services, is a key U.S. Army organization providing IT services and
support to the Army and Department of Defense. As a managed service
provider, ALTESS delivers infrastructure, platform, and application
services across data centers and commercial clouds. It plays a
crucial role in modernizing IT systems by migrating them to the
cloud and managing mission-critical applications to ensure Army
readiness. ALTESS oversees IT service delivery across various
hosting locations, aligning with Department of Defense digital
transformation strategies as part of PEO Enterprise. This position
is located in Radford, VA. Your future duties and responsibilities:
This position is for a Senior Network Administrator in a mixed and
growing environment currently supporting functional teams and
customers that utilize MS Windows server 2019/2022, MS SQL 2019, MS
Windows 11, VMWare 7.x.,OEL 8x-9x, and Oracle Operating systems.
This position will work with the existing team members who are
responsible for designing and supporting multiple complex networks
in different locations. This position will help lead in the
strategies to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot and support
networks for multiple customer environments. This position will
lead efforts to plan, execute and implement new network
implementations. Responsible for creating and maintaining team
technical instructions, operating procedures, and policies as
needed. This position will need to be adept at monitoring and
tuning system and network performance, ongoing operation of the
network, hardening of the network and reporting of the overall
security and operational status. The position will also recommend
improvements to the enterprise and manage new SW/HW integrations
when required while also providing utilization reports using
existing tools to identify problems and corrective actions as
needed. This position will provide support towards the lifecycle of
a mixed environment of vendor equipment in the datacenter to
include firmware version control and periodic preventive
maintenance. This position will also need to be able to recommend,
demonstrate, and implement technologies to help expand, upgrade,
and increase efficiency to the current environment. The position
will need excellent communication and team skills. Required
qualifications to be successful in this role: a) Required
Qualifications: CompTIA Security. b) Computing Environment (CE)
Certification (i.e., MCSE, Server, CCNA, RedHat, Palo, etc.) – can
be waived for 30 days after project join date. c) DOD Secret
Security Clearance. d) Experience in Computer Science or IT. e)
Three or more years' experience designing, implementing,
documenting, and maintaining complex networking solutions. f) Three
or more years' experience configuring, updating, maintaining,
administering, and migrating Palo Alto Firewalls. g) Three or more
years' experience with Network Management, Analysis, and
troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Palo Alto
Panorama, Men and Mice, etc. h) Five or more years' experience
configuring, updating, maintaining, and administering the following
Cisco technologies: Cisco Nexus (9K, 7K, 5K, and 2K), Cisco
Catalyst switches, Cisco Aggregation Services Router (ASR) and
Integrated Services Router (ISR) routers, and Cisco Firepower. i)
Three years' experience or working knowledge of SW Defined
Networking. Page 66 of 77 ACQUISITION SENSITIVE j) Three or more
years' experience creating, maintaining, following Standard
Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery,
and common problem resolution. k) Strong interpersonal skills and
willingness to be a team player. Desired
qualifications/non-essential skills required: a) Bachelor's degree
in computer science or equivalent years of experience. b) Three or
more years' experience in automation and scripting with Python,
Pearl, TCL, or Ansible. c) Three or more years' experience
supporting Cybersecurity patch management and Security Technical
Implementation Guides (STIG), SRG, RMF, SCA-V, and Cyber
Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA). Enterprise Resource
Planning Support Lead (Program Manager – Intermediate) CGI is
required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable
estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination
of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set,
level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and
certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based
performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the
top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are
dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable
estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is
