Job Description:
Purpose:
Perform daily controls testing on all aspects of Mobile
transformers in high voltage laboratory.
Main Responsibilities :
Responsible for the quality of control testing assuring product
reliability.
Maintain and repair Control test equipment as necessary
Responsibilities include testing of controls, troubleshooting,
diagnosing, and resolving issues in the controls circuits.
In depth knowledge of Electrical prints and schematics and relays,
AC & DC equipment logic circuits.
Specific Duties:
When trained individual is responsible for testing to ensure
product reliability to Mobile transformers, Class I and Class II
power ratings up to 200 MVA base rating.
Ensure ongoing adherence to internal and external standards.
Utilize PC and necessary hand calculations to prepare files and
forms for Control testing and entering detail data into logic
devices.
Included but not limited to control wiring functional testing and
troubleshooting potential control issues on Mobiles
transformers.
Control testing consists of reading design prints and verifying all
circuits are wired per the drawing and all equipment functions as
designed.
Communication with wireman, customers and design engineering is a
daily activity to coordinate between designs and function test.
Education and Experience:
4 year Electrical Engineering degree preferred however a minimum
Associate degree and electrical wiring circuits & 2 yrs hands
experience required.
Excellent analytical skills, computer literate, and have the
ability to learn software programing.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to learn and train, to interact on multi-department
projects, excellent analytical skills and have the ability to learn
software programs necessary for the position.
Self-driven and task orientated.
This is an analytical position that requires troubleshooting,
attention to detail, and logical reasoning
Travel Requirements:
Required by a special business need based on customer request of
Mobile training and on site commissioning once trained.
