least 2 years of labor experience Description: General information
about the unit includes the following. There are a total of 24 beds
on the unit. The staff consists of 71 members. Types of staff
include day shift labor nurses, nursery nurses, OB techs,
secretaries, leadership, and educators. Night shift staff includes
labor nurses, nursery nurses, OB techs, and secretaries. Patient
ratios are typically 1:1 for labor, 5-6:1 for postpartum, and 5-6:1
for the nursery. The unit uses GE fetal monitors and the EMR system
is Meditech and CPN. Typical procedures performed include vaginal
deliveries, C-sections, and care for antepartum patients. Newborn
and postpartum care is required. Weekend and on-call requirements
include every third weekend with 12 hours of call per 4-week
