Child Neurologist Carilion Clinic Children’s Hospital / Faculty Appointment, Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine Roanoke, Virginia J-1 Visa Sponsorship Available The Opportunity Carilion Children’s is seeking a Child Neurologist to join a well-established, collaborative pediatric subspecialty team serving children and families across western Virginia. This position, focusing on outpatient care, offers a mix of inpatient consultation care, strong multidisciplinary support, and the opportunity to engage in academics within a clinically focused, patient-centered practice. Clinical Practice - Combination of outpatient clinics and inpatient consultative services - Pediatric hospitalists and intensivists provide primary inpatient management - Full pediatric surgical support including pediatric neurosurgery partnerships - Shared call, primarily remote consultative call during evenings and weekends - On-site EEG and video EEG monitoring supported by inpatient EEG technicians - Serve a pediatric population of over 300,000 children Carilion Children’s is western Virginia’s primary pediatric referral center, anchored by: - 60-bed NICU/intermediate nursery - 8-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) - 24-bed pediatric inpatient unit - Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center - Dedicated pediatric emergency department - 19 pediatric subspecialty clinics and robust ancillary services Why Carilion?
