Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to
join our national leader in integrated healthcare services. Our
team provides comprehensive facility-based and home-based patient
care across 42 states, ensuring high-quality treatment and
rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep
understanding of respiratory care practices and be passionate about
patient health and recovery. In this role, you will be responsible
for assessing patient respiratory function, administering
treatments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to
optimize patient care strategies. Evaluate patient respiratory
needs and develop treatment plans. Administer and monitor
respiratory therapies and interventions. Maintain patient charts
and electronic health records with accurate documentation of
therapy sessions. Educate patients and families on respiratory care
and management. Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize
patient care plans. Ensure operation of respiratory equipment by
following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns;
maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling
for repairs. Proficiency in using respiratory care equipment and
tools. Strong analytical skills to assess patient conditions and
implement appropriate interventions. Excellent communication skills
for educating patients and interacting with healthcare teams.
Ability to work in high-stress environments and adapt to diverse
healthcare settings. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Valid and active Respiratory Therapist License.
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory
Therapist (RRT) credential. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
