Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN – Virginia Start Date: October 13, 2025 Location: Christiansburg, Virginia Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; four weekend shifts per month required Highlights: Freestanding Emergency Department with 11 beds and 4:1 patient ratio Modern equipment including point-of-care lab, EKG, C1 ventilators, Baxter pumps, and cardiac monitors Meditech documentation system for streamlined charting Collaborative team structure with dedicated shift coverage: 2 dayshift nurses, 2 midshift nurses, 2 nightshift nurses No floating required – dedicated ED assignment Magnet recognized facility committed to nursing excellence Requirements: Active Virginia RN license or compact state license BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required NRP certification preferred but not required Emergency department experience strongly preferred Proficiency in advanced nursing skills including point-of-care lab operations Experience with breathing treatments, conscious sedation, and application of orthopedic devices Patient experience scores of 80% or above expected Why It's a Great Opportunity: This freestanding emergency department offers an excellent environment for experienced ED nurses seeking a focused, high-quality care setting.
