Job Description:
The Cardiac Sonographer performs echocardiographic procedures to
assist physicians in diagnosing cardiac conditions.
Obtains diagnostic images using various echocardiography
techniques, including contrast and stress echocardiography.
Explains procedures to patients, prepares them, reviews medical
records, and verifies test orders.
Identifies and resolves technical issues, detects abnormalities,
and reports significant findings promptly.
Maintains equipment and supplies, and stays updated on new
procedures and technology.
Requires 2+ years of cardiac sonography experience, ARDMS or CCI
certification, and BLS certification.
Must have strong communication skills and physical, mental, and
technical capabilities for adult cardiac testing.
