Speech Language Pathologist Job DescriptionCentra Healthcare Allied is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality care to patients in Brookneal, Virginia.Job Requirements:

• Employment Type: TravelA reputable Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) / Long-Term Care (LTC) center is looking for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to join their team for a contract assignment.The ideal candidate will assess patients with speech, hearing, and language deficits, and develop personalized treatment plans to improve their communication skills. The Speech Language Pathologist will also work with patients to strengthen their muscles and use compensatory strategies to swallow safely.Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school
  • Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist or actively pursuing licensure
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team to develop patient care plans
  • Provide skilled speech therapy services in accordance with physician orders
  • Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate, and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
  • Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop reliable communication and swallowing skills
