As a key team member in Cargill’s global operations, the Refrigeration / Boiler Technician I is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and boiler systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the operational continuity and efficiency of Cargill's food processing facilities. The technician will collaborate closely with the facility operations team to enhance system performances and resolve any mechanical issues that directly impact production and safety standards. Operate, monitor, and maintain refrigeration and boiler systems to ensure they meet compliance and operational standards. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment operates efficiently. Diagnose and repair mechanical problems in refrigeration and boiler systems. Record maintenance and repair work performed, and monitor system performance. Follow safety protocols and participate in training sessions to stay updated on industry practices. Strong technical and mechanical skills to handle sophisticated refrigeration and boiler systems. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals. Proficient in using hand and power tools for equipment maintenance. Understanding of safety standards in high-risk environments. Boiler operator license or a professional certification in HVAC or related fields is beneficial.
