Job Description:
TruckPro, LLC is seeking a skilled Hybrid Service Writer /
Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated team in supporting the
heavy-duty truck and trailer industry. This unique position blends
the roles of a service writer and a diesel mechanic to provide
seamless service from customer communication to hands-on mechanical
repair. The successful candidate will be instrumental in
facilitating efficient operations within our service centers,
ensuring both top-quality customer service and expert mechanical
repair on a variety of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Interact
with customers to understand and document service needs and
concerns. Develop service quotes and clear, detailed service orders
for diesel mechanics to address. Perform diagnostics and complex
repairs on diesel engines, electrical systems, and other components
of heavy trucks and trailers. Ensure all services provided meet
quality standards and customer requirements. Regularly update
customers on the status of their vehicles and manage expectations.
Maintain an accurate and effective flow of communication between
the parts department, mechanics, and customers. Adhere to workplace
safety protocols and standards. Proven ability to diagnose and
repair mechanical issues in diesel engines and related components.
Experience with customer service and ability to effectively
communicate technical information to non-technical customers.
Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in
using diagnostic tools and software related to the automotive
service industry. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Certification from the National Institute for
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) in diesel mechanics highly
preferred. Valid driver’s license.
