Bilingual/Multilingual Skill Requirement/Preference Type of Recruitment Definition Job Type Definition Pay Band Job Description We seek a colleague who is committed to excellence in teaching and in research involving undergraduate students, and who will develop and maintain an active and broadly interdisciplinary Neogene climate or paleoclimate research program that bridges the ancient to human timescale. Teaching responsibilities will include introductory courses in climate science, and meteorology, as well as other geoscience and general education science courses; in addition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop a new upper division interdisciplinary course related to climate science. Collaborations are encouraged with faculty in the Department and in other STEM fields. Minimum Qualifications A Ph.D. in a related field is required at the time of employment. The successful candidate will provide evidence of their ability to work within a collaborative scholarly environment, and will be expected to work with faculty in the Geology and Environmental Science Department to strengthen and expand our course and research offerings.
