Job Description:
Duties: Develops quality Web-based software components used
by Fidelity’s retail and workplace customers. Will be responsible
for contributing to the overall definition of site objectives by
analyzing user requirements, envisioning system features, and developing
Web-based applications. Primary Responsibilities: • Builds new and enhances existing enterprise wide
functionalities for the Digital Platform framework. • Works with the Mobile team to ensure Digital Platform
standard practices are implemented and to coordinate installations. • Presents technology solutions to business partners,
technology teams, and senior management. • Researches business and technology trends, assesses impact
on architecture strategy, and shares knowledge across the
architecture team. • Contributes to the IT Product strategy and engages with
key business partners to understand prioritization of projects. • Defines and implements application level architecture. • Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division. • Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans. • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and
four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of
experience in analysis, design, development, and governance of
middle-tier frameworks, platforms, and Web services for online brokerage
or financial transaction applications; Or, alternatively, Master’s
degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science,
Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics,
Physics, or a closely related field and two (2) years of experience in the job
offered or two (2) years of experience in analysis, design, development,
and governance of middle-tier frameworks, platforms, and Web
services for online brokerage or financial transaction applications.
Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and
developing Web services solutions for mobile, Web, and desktop applications,
using Agile methodologies; and incorporating Service Oriented
Architecture (SOA) and domain modeling concepts in building APIs for
financial transaction processing or brokerage applications; DE designing
and developing REST APIs using enterprise grade open source tools --
WSO2 ESB and Apache Axis2.0; implementing MEPs using Apache Synapse
and Java; building Complex Event Processing (CEP) systems using WSO2
Siddhi; and performing UI development and customization using Jaggery
scripting; DE implementing cloud-based, scalable middleware platforms using
standard libraries and protocols (AMQP and JMS); and building highly
concurrent, resilient applications using Disruptor and Netty; DE
providing production support and monitoring 24/7 highly available
financial transaction processing applications, including writing scripts
and generating reports using uDeploy, Splunk, and Dynatrace; and
analyzing and troubleshooting production issues using JVM Heap/Thread
